Finding funding success for clients in Controlled Aquaculture

Our clients often become clients because we have proactively found funding which matches their strategic and business goals. In the case of AquaBioculture, we proposed an Innovate UK funding programme which aligned perfectly with their location (East of England), their proposition (Aquaculture), and their business objectives (product development, pre-investment preparation). 

Once funding was identified and won, we were able to move into a role of providing technical research support on sensors and data transfer, advancing the product and overcoming technical roadblocks. During this project we deployed conventional water sensors alongside Ion-Selective Electrode (ISE) sensors to deliver a comprehensive package of sensors for the Micro-Modular Recirculating Aquaculture System (MM-RAS), which included data transfer to a cloud-based dashboarding service (100% client-ownership), which the other partners of the project used for their data and for building the prototypical UX designs for future development. We partnered with NT Sensors as an ISE provider in this project, developing custom housings and electronics for the sensor integration and data transfer.
